It came as a great shock when the top sire Cornado I passed away a few weeks ago. Following a glittering career at 1.65m Grand Prix level with Marcus Ehning, his offspring are now taking up the baton with great vigour. They stand out for their balance, power and sharpness. And the list of international references is growing by the week. An interesting pairing has been made in this case with the proven branch of the van’t Roosakker line, which traces directly back to the foundation mare Evita van’t Roosakker. This makes for a very complete, high-class foal family, including the 1m60 Grand Prix winners Isaac, Jackson, Melvin and Luigi v/d Bisschop.
